Who they are
Rob's father walked out when he was 14, so he grew up figuring everything out on his own. Now he makes the videos he wishes he had back then: how to tie a tie, change a tire, unclog a drain, be a decent person. Millions of kids growing up without a dad call him Dad.
Why we admire them
He turned the worst thing that happened to him into a lifeline for other people's kids. If that is not the whole mission, nothing is.
