His story

Dlaney is learning music in public. Ninety-nine days of piano practice, posted daily, mistakes and all. He is writing 50 songs and he has written 40 already.

He also writes books, including the Short Bus kids book. Same source for all of it: a belief that really good kind people can make things that matter.

Learning in public.

Dlaney. Songs, books, and proof of practice.

Dlaney waving

His story

Dlaney is learning music in public. He started from zero on piano and gave himself a 99-day challenge: practice every single day, post the proof, mistakes and all. No highlight reel. You get the wrong notes, the slow metronome work, and the small wins as they happen.

He is writing 50 songs. He has written 40 already, and you can listen to them all. The songs are sketches of a kinder world, written by someone who is learning as he goes and not pretending otherwise.

He also writes books. The Short Bus kids book is his, and the songs and the stories all come from the same place: a belief that really good kind people can make things that matter.

His work

Every day, Dlaney practices piano and posts it on Instagram. The 99-day challenge is the backbone: show up, play, share, repeat. It is the most honest thing on the internet.

The songs live on SoundCloud and Spotify. Forty and counting, each one a little window into what he is learning.

The videos live on YouTube and TikTok. Same deal: real practice, real progress, no filter.
