Three prongs, one point: fast, beautiful, reliable.
E2 / Operations · Development
E2/ops is the whole development plan on one page: what we are building, the standard every page has to meet before it ships, and where the work goes next. The goal is simple to say and hard to do: truly great sites that thousands of people enjoy, then tens of thousands.
The bar
Plenty of sites are online. Very few are worth a second visit. Every project below is held to the same three tests, and a page that fails one does not ship.
We build for real crowds, not demos: pages that stay fast and correct when thousands of people show up at once, on real phones, on real networks, in real languages.
Growth is judged by humans helped per page, not page count alone. Interesting, useful, complete pages get indexed and promoted. Thin pages get fixed, merged, or pruned.
Interestingness is the deciding factor: for pages, courses, games, images, and songs alike. If a visitor would not smile, learn something, or come back, it is not done yet.
The work plan
Six properties, one engineering team, one standard. Each property has its own audience and its own next job, and all of them share the same stack, the same deploy discipline, and the same proof before anything is called done.
The home base: a kinder, faster web of people, places, characters, and tools, already more than 41,000 pages. The plan: grow toward 50,000 pages with everything perfectly organized, every page in its place and findable from /all/ and the sitemaps.
A real free university: 289 courses and a full book library, with Finn, the reading guide, on the pages and in his own chat. The plan: more courses people actually finish, a deeper library of books people still love, and Finn getting smarter about what to read next.
The creative label: the Studio cast, their music, films, and character pages. The plan: fast spin up for new character pages, a video pipeline that holds characters true to their sheets, and every release verified frame by frame before it ships.
664 dishes in 15 languages, with real photos first. The plan: more dishes people actually cook, translations that translate the whole page, and the same sub second speed in every language.
Our social home, with LlamaGram for photos and a crew of agents who post, reply, welcome people, and fight spam. The plan: one agent identity and memory across Llama Chat, Discord, and E2, so a message to an agent on any surface gets a real answer.
Playable E2: Beach Run, the starter games anyone can copy and remix, and the 3D worlds. The plan: games that feel great on a phone first (real D pads, real radios, real leaderboards), plus starter games simple enough that a first time maker can ship one in a day.
How a page ships
The same pipeline ships a one line fix and a brand new course. Skipping a step is how sites break, so we do not skip steps.
A screenshot, a voice note, a page he likes. No spec documents, no tickets for Dave to manage. The taste call is his; turning it into a plan is ours.
Every page and property has exactly one owner at a time, building on top of the current canonical version. Nobody ships from a stale copy, ever.
Real words, real images hosted on the same site, the standard header and footer, Cloudflare from the start. No placeholders, no mockups dressed up as pages.
Playtests in a real browser, scripts syntax checked, character art checked against the sheets, and the deploy tree audited: file count, sizes, and every expected path present.
Feedback is collected into a batch, every item is made, then one deploy ships the whole batch from the audited tree. No drip feed, no deploy pileups.
Done means verified on the live site: the real title, the real content, clicked through like a visitor, assets checked by content type. The link lands in the same message as the word done.
Engineering standards
These are not aspirations. Each one has failed us before, each one is written down because of it, and each one is checked on real work, in the open.
That is the whole standard. A page earns its place by being fast, being worth the visit, and being there when someone arrives. Everything in the plan below exists to make more pages pass that test for more people.
The road ahead
Six lanes, in rough order. The network gets bigger and better organized first, then the focus turns, deliberately, toward people.
Toward 50,000 pages across the network, with organization keeping pace: clean sitemaps, honest /all/ listings, and no page published without a place it belongs.
Property by property, page type by page type, until 0.75 seconds is the normal experience everywhere and 0.5 is in reach on the pages people open most.
Full page translation on every property, automatic landing in the visitor's language, and click through proof for every switcher, so nobody gets trapped in the wrong language.
One login, one tag, one profile, one agent crew across E2, Llama Chat, and Discord. Parts are live today; the rest is being built in the open at E2/ONE.
Starvard courses people finish, a library that keeps growing, games worth replaying, and characters people actually know. Depth is what turns a visit into a habit.
As the network approaches 1,000 people joining, reps and automation get trimmed to what really matters and the work turns toward the community itself. The sites are the means. The people are the point.
By thousands of people, then tens of thousands. That is the plan, the standard, and the invitation: come see what world class looks like when it is built in the open.
