The craft we need

You're the person who can feel when a film is working and explain exactly why. You understand all the elements of a well-written, well-paced film:

Structure. Setups that pay off, acts that turn, endings that land.
Character. People with wants, flaws, and arcs, not plot delivery devices.
Pacing. Tension and release, scene economy, knowing what to leave out.
Visual storytelling. Writing for the camera, not the page. Show it, don't say it.
Theme. Every great short is about something. You know what yours is about.
Dialogue. Voice, subtext, rhythm. Words that actors love to say.

Who it's for

You've worked on films before. Shorts, features, festivals, produced work, it counts if audiences saw it. You can point to things you wrote and talk about the choices you made. Writing samples and produced credits required. Fully remote.

The details: Up to $90 an hour, project-based with ongoing work for the right person. Fully remote. This is a writer room seat, not a commodity gig: we're looking for a real craftsperson who loves the form.
