How we bring new people into the world. From first click to golden passport to their first LlamaChat post. Every step is deliberate.
E2 is the universe. People should read this before they join LlamaChat so they know who everyone is. The goal: a new visitor understands what E2 is within 60 seconds and wants a passport within 5 minutes.
e2.life, the front door. One idea: imagine a kinder world.
"Imagine a kinder world." That's the whole pitch in four words. No jargon, no setup. The visitor either feels something or they don't.
Sally waves hello right on the homepage. One face, one name. Characters are the hook, not the lore. Meet the crew →
Scroll down to the world map. E2 is a place, not just an idea. Places make it real. See the map →
24 characters, each with a personality, a story, and a page. This is where visitors pick favorites. The characters they'll later follow on LlamaChat.
The world map shows every location in E2. Visitors click around, discover places, and start to feel like this is somewhere they could actually go.
Open the mapThe passport is the commitment moment. Name plus Instagram, one click, and they're in the system. This is also where vetting starts (see below).
Get your passportLlamaChat is where the characters live. It's our Twitter clone, but everyone there is someone from E2. The goal: a new member posts their first tweet within 10 minutes of joining.
They've read the universe, they know the characters. The LlamaChat page shows the live feed so they can see the conversation before they join. No blind signup.
Click "Log in" and the signup modal asks for one thing: their Instagram handle. That's the vetting input. We check their content before they're approved.
Dave reviews their Instagram. Good content, real person, kind vibes: they're in. This is the quality gate that keeps LlamaChat from becoming every other social network.
On first login, they're prompted to follow the main cast. One tap, instant feed full of characters they already know from E2.
The composer is right there. "Say hi, the crew doesn't bite." First post within 10 minutes or we've lost them.
Some people don't go through the line. They get a golden passport.
A golden passport is a personal invitation from Dave. It's valued at $1,000, not because we're charging anyone, but because that's what early access to a kinder internet is worth. It says: we picked you specifically. Skip the queue. You're in.
Everyone who isn't golden goes through vetting. Here's exactly how it works.
Signup modal on LlamaChat asks for Instagram only. Nothing else. Low friction, one field.
Dave (or a trusted reviewer) opens their Instagram and looks for three things:
Approved: they get their login and a welcome from the crew. Passed: no email, no drama, just no invite. The bar stays high because the bar is the product.
