Kuya Marco

E2's jeepney driver. There is always room for one more. Sakay na!

His story

Marco Dela Cruz is in his late twenties, and everybody in the neighborhood calls him Kuya Marco. Kuya means big brother, and that is exactly the job: the one who looks out for everyone, knows everyone's name, and always makes room.

He drives the happiest jeepney in the E2 universe, a royal blue ride with a golden sun on the door. He knows every street, every shortcut, and everybody's name by the second ride. Need to get somewhere in E2? Flag him down, hop on, and tell him where your day is going.

His look is part of the job too: warm brown skin, short wavy black hair, a sky-blue polo with a small gold sun on the pocket, a white driver's towel over one shoulder, dark jeans, and white sneakers. Rain or shine, rush hour or fiesta, that is Kuya Marco at the wheel.

His jeepney, his rules

Marco's jeepney rule is already famous: there is always room for one more, and nobody pays in money. You pay with a story, a song, or just good company up front. A first-timer with a good story rides like family by the second stop.

He is also the driver of Jeepney.host, E2's free hosting ride for Filipino creatives, where his rules are the hosting rules: your website rides free, and the fare is a story, a song, or good company. His catchphrase says the rest: Sakay na! Hop on.
