The rules and terms of the E2 & Starvard Discord server

Document E2-DC-001 · Effective October 21, 2026

Welcome to the E2 & Starvard Discord. This is a working community of builders, writers, artists, and students making real things together across E2, Starvard, and The Studio. By joining and participating in the server, you agree to these rules and terms. They are short on purpose. If you are ever unsure whether something fits, ask a moderator before you post it.

The server is for adults: you must be 18 or older to be a member, consistent with the E2 Terms. Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines also apply to everything you do here.

The one big rule

Be kind. Argue with ideas as hard as you like. Never go after a person.

Everything below is this rule spelled out. We judge patterns, not single moments: everyone has a clumsy day, and a clumsy day is not a violation. A pattern of making the room worse is.

The rules

  1. No harassment or hate. No slurs, no targeted insults, no dogpiling, no mocking someone's work to score points. Critique is welcome and encouraged; cruelty is not critique.
  2. No spam. Do not mass-DM members, repeat the same post across channels, or flood the room. Show your work in the showcase and lab channels, one post per meaningful update. People who only ever promote and never participate will be shown the door.
  3. No scams, ever. No crypto schemes, no investment pitches, no fake jobs or giveaways, no asking members for money, passwords, or wallet information. If a stranger DMs you an offer that sounds too good, it is, and telling a moderator about it protects everyone.
  4. Keep public channels work-safe. No pornography or graphic content. This is a professional room that adults should be able to open anywhere.
  5. Respect privacy. No doxxing. Do not share another member's private messages, photos, real name, or personal details outside the server without their clear permission.
  6. Be honest about your work. Credit your collaborators. Do not present someone else's work as your own. AI tools are the point of this community, and using them is celebrated here; just describe what you made truthfully.
  7. No impersonation. Do not pose as another member, a moderator, The Studio, or E2 staff, and do not use a name or avatar designed to confuse people about who you are.
  8. Use the right room. Introductions in the intros channel, builds in the lab, finished work in the showcase. Off-topic wandering in the general chat is fine; organized derailing is not.
  9. One account per person. Removed members may not return under a new account without written permission.

What happens if a rule is broken

Enforcement follows the ladder in our Community Moderation policy: a private conversation first, then a formal warning, then a cooling-off suspension, then quiet removal. Threats, doxxing, and scams skip the ladder and are removed immediately. Moderation decisions are made by people, in private, and we never moderate as public entertainment: no public shaming, no call-out posts.

Membership is a privilege, not a right. We may remove any account, at any time, when we judge it necessary to protect the community, including for conduct outside the server that bears directly on member safety.

Your work and your words

What you create remains yours. By posting in the server you allow the community to view, discuss, and share your posts inside the server. Nothing about being a member gives E2 or The Studio any right to your independent work, and nothing about membership obliges us to feature, hire, or publish anyone. If your work is ever brought into a Studio project, that happens only under a separate written agreement that you sign first, never automatically.

The other side of the same coin: E2 and Studio characters, names, artwork, and projects belong to their owners. Fan enthusiasm is welcome in the fan spaces; do not present unofficial work as official, and do not use Studio characters in your own commercial products.

Appeals

Anyone removed may appeal once, in writing, within 14 days, by direct message to any moderator in the server. Appeals are read by a person and answered. The community standard above, kindness judged by patterns, governs the answer.

Changes

These rules may be updated as the community grows. The current version always lives at this page, and material changes will be announced in the server. Continued participation after a change means you accept the updated rules.
